Why Install a Leveling Kit?
Trucks come from the factory with the front of the vehicle sitting lower than the rear (not level). This is done so that if you load up the truck bed it won’t bottom out, or wear out suspension parts prematurely.
A leveling kit uses hardware to slightly raise the front of the truck so it matches the stock height in the back. It gets rid of the "rake", which is the look stock trucks have where the front end sits lower than the rear end, in order to allow for weight/ hauling in the back of the truck.
The payload remains unchanged with a leveling kit, but the look is improved!
A leveling kit allows you to fit larger tires, allowing for more ground clearance; and ultimately it makes your truck stand a bit taller and look more aggressive - without replacing numerous parts or breaking the bank.
